We have a lot of cat toys, and while our cats do engage with these, they don’t seem overly excited about themâjust average, really. However, the packaging is adorable and the toys are entertaining. Whenever the cats do decide to play with them, it’s always quite amusing to watch. They have a strong scent of catnip, which definitely caught my cats’ attention when they first arrived. They do crinkle as promised. I believe if they were a bit smaller, they would get more playtime.

When I introduced the knife toy to my little tester, he went wild instantly, gripping it with his front paws, biting it, and delivering plenty of bunny kicks. This intense playtime lasted about 5 minutes. I realize that every cat reacts differently to catnip toys. My cat has shown similar enthusiasm for catnip in the pastâinitially, he goes crazy for it, but his interest wanes with subsequent play sessions. After that first 5-minute frenzy, the toy was soaked from his chewing, and it seemed that his drool diminished the catnip’s potency, making him less interested later. He did play with it a bit the next day, but his enthusiasm had faded. This aligns with his history with catnip toys, so I believe it varies from cat to cat. Iâm glad I kept the other three toys sealed in the bag; we can space them out and maximize their use.
