My first attempt at shaving my puppy showed me that I have a lot to learn to achieve a nice cut. The clippers were very easy to maneuver, and I never came close to cutting her skin thanks to their design. These clippers are fantastic. My main goal was to tackle all the matted hair, and although I was brushing her, it clearly wasn’t enough. Once I got rid of the mats, I’ve been more diligent about brushing her as I wait for her fur to grow long enough for a professional groomer. I’m keeping the clippers because I really appreciate how well they work and how easy they are to use, allowing me to maintain my puppy’s fur between grooming visits.

I purchased the Gooad Dog Clippers Grooming Kit to maintain my miniature Aussie between professional grooming sessions, and so far, I’m quite pleased with it. I was initially hesitant because I had never heard of the brand, and the price was very low compared to my usual Wahl clipper set, which I’ve had for over 15 years. After using it once, both with and without the blade guard, I found it performed well in both scenarios. Attaching and securing the guard was hassle-free. I fully charged the clippers before use, which took about two hours, and I ended up using them intermittently for around an hour and a half. My grooming technique isn’t the quickest, especially working on the floor and dealing with rheumatoid arthritis, but I finished with the battery still showing 87% charge. The clippers are comfortable to hold, very quiet, and surprisingly lightweight. They seem to be well-constructed, which was unexpected given the affordable price. I also appreciated the inclusion of sharp curved scissors and a metal comb. Overall, it’s a solid grooming kit that performs well. I’ve only used it once, but I’ll update if my opinion changes dramatically.

Although these clippers aren’t the sharpest or most high-end options available, they effectively get the job done. I own a 45-pound standard poodle with very thick, curly hair. The plastic guards are a bit too thick to navigate through her coils, but I managed to achieve the results I wanted without using a guard. For the price, I’d rate these five stars, but if you have a dog with coily hair like mine, you might want to consider investing in a more expensive shear.

I have to say, these clippers are impressive and perform exceptionally well. They’re relatively quiet and get the job done quickly, especially on my cat with a long, thick coat. I appreciate the cordless feature and the battery indicator. Most of the accessories are great, but the comb I received has some metal teeth that are cut at an angle and quite sharp, making it unusable. Otherwise, it would have been a nice comb, which is why I deducted a star. Amazon suggested I return the entire set, but as someone with a disability and no access to a car, that would be more trouble and more expensive in Uber rides than simply buying a new comb. The bath brush effectively removes loose hair, and the sponge pad does a good job of picking hair off clothes. The scissors are just average—not very sharp—and the nail clipper is a bit small, better suited for cats or small dogs, as it’s actually smaller than the one I currently use for my cats. Overall, it’s a good value for the price.

I chose this set of pet clippers from several options I considered. With my young Pekingese in desperate need of a trim, I decided to invest in clippers instead of relying on a groomer. While groomers do an excellent job, it’s not feasible for me financially. I’ve used these clippers and found them very easy to handle. I was able to trim his paws, clip his nails, shave his stomach, and use scissors for his ears and legs. After giving him a bath, blow-drying him, and combing him out, he looked so much better after the trim. I’m really pleased with this set; they work wonderfully. It does take some time, but I’m saving money in the process.
