This toy is one of my favorites for engaging in two types of active play with my cats and foster cats: 1. Running around the house while it trails behind, prompting them to chase it. 2. Making it dart back and forth while I watch TV, giving them a good workout. It definitely keeps cats active and most enjoy it. However, this particular brand fell apart (the string detached from the wand) after about a week of vigorous play. The thick cord inside the wand isn’t secured well enough, and it really needs to be more robust since energetic play is to be expected. Additionally, it squeaks too easily compared to our other squeaky toys. The feathers on the back were pulled off in about 5 minutes of regular play, and I didn’t even leave the toy within their reach.

The toy has held up remarkably well, showing no signs of wear except for a couple of feathers that have come off, but that hasn’t diminished the fun at all. We love it so much that weāre planning to get a backup just in case! LOL

I purchased this toy for my cat, who has been diagnosed with kidney disease, in hopes of encouraging her to play. She really enjoys it, but unfortunately, mine arrived defective. This toy is supposed to squeak when you pull a clear tab to activate it, but there was no tab on the mouse at all. I even checked the video to confirm its placement, which should be on the back, but instead, thereās just a slightly split seam where the tab should have been. I’m extremely disappointed, as I donāt want to waste any of my cat’s precious time waiting for a return and exchange for something that caught her interest. Just wanted to share this experience for others to consider.

Iāve purchased two of these toys so far. Iām giving it a 3-star rating because the second one I got doesnāt squeak at all and came with a dead battery. Aside from that, itās a fantastic toy. The rope is thick enough to keep my cat safe while playing, and he loves the squeaks (when they actually work).

It appears to be durable. However, I wouldn’t suggest it for puppies with their sharp baby teeth, as the cord and toy likely wouldn’t hold up.
