I purchased this nail grinder because I appreciated the variety of attachments it offered compared to others on the market. I needed a tool to trim my Aussieâs paws and nails. After using it for a few months, I found it easy to use, but I wouldnât recommend it to others. While charging, cleaning, and operating it was straightforward, the attachments have not held up, and I am now looking for a replacement.
The blades have dulled after only a few months, and I’m uncertain if they can be sharpened. I’ve only used it for trimming my dog’s paw pads, so it hasn’t faced heavy use. The nail grinding bit also fails to work; despite numerous attempts, it doesnât grind my dog’s nails at all. When I received it, the grinding bit had a concave shape, and I wasnât sure if that was normal or if I had gotten a used item.

I purchased these 5-in-1 clippers for detailed grooming at an affordable price. My standard poodle tends to get anxious with regular-sized clippers on her feet and face, as they are noisier and heat up quickly. These smaller, cordless clippers performed excellently, and she seemed much more comfortable with them.
They are impressively quietâdefinitely quieter than my standard clippers. I particularly appreciate the narrow clipper heads for getting between her toes and inner paw pads, where soft burrs often get stuck. Larger clipper heads were cumbersome for this task, but the narrow ones worked brilliantly.
I do have some concerns about the durability of the clipper head since half of it is plastic, but they still cut well. To prolong the blade’s life, I recommend using them on a freshly washed and fully dried dog. At $30, they offer great value, especially compared to other brands with all-metal blades that were beyond my budget.
These clippers have a plastic cover, are smaller, and have a lower motor, which keeps the blades from overheatingâif they get hot at all. They also have minimal vibration, which is a significant advantage for 5-in-1 clippers like these. I haven’t experienced any battery issues; after two uses, I still have battery life left, though I’m not doing full shaves.
I would recommend these clippers for detail work, touch-ups, or small dogs. While they could be used on larger dogs, it would take more time and could wear them down faster. For full shaves on medium to large dogs, a regular set of clippers would be more effective. I typically use these for delicate areas like the face and feet while opting for a larger, corded clipper for the rest of the grooming.
The blade guards for varying lengths didn’t work for me; my poodle’s curly hair still got stuck, even after brushing. I also tried them on a Yorkshire Terrier, and the hair collected between the guard and blade, affecting the cut.
I haven’t tried the nail sander yet since I mainly bought the clippers for the diverse blade options and quiet operation.
In conclusion, I gave these clippers a 4-star rating because they are gentle, quiet, and budget-friendly. While I know they won’t last forever, they are perfect for detail work.
