    I have to admit, this comb gets the job done. It effectively detangles mats and reduces fuzz to prevent new ones from forming. My dog’s coat looks amazing! However, it is a bit too large. While the length of the spines is necessary, the width makes it challenging to use in tighter spots on my small dog (a thirteen-pound Chiweenie, and there are even smaller breeds). Additionally, the size intimidates her, despite my efforts to let her explore it. I would prefer the comb to be at least a third smaller.

    I received this grooming tool today and immediately used it on my puppy. I have a 6-month-old Biewer Terrier who absolutely dreads grooming. She whines and fusses no matter how gentle I am or how carefully I handle her skin while brushing. It truly breaks my heart. However, this tool worked wonders! It glided through her fur effortlessly, like a hot knife through butter. I absolutely LOVE it! I do have a dematting comb, but the teeth on this new tool are significantly sharper, allowing it to tackle tangles without damaging her hair.

    My only slight issue is with the design. One of the appealing features was the ability to change the direction of the teeth for left-handed use. I initially thought the top of the comb would simply unscrew for a quick swap, but it turned out to be more complicated than that. Each tooth and separator detaches from the base and requires reassembly. I managed to do it in just a few minutes, but it was a bit cumbersome. There must be an easier method.

    Overall, this minor inconvenience is no big deal. The comb is excellent and will undoubtedly make grooming easier for both me and my little girl. I highly recommend adding it to your dog grooming toolkit.

    I purchased this tool for my Sheltie, who has a very thick undercoat. I had been using a slicker brush and a greyhound comb for line brushing, which was fine but became a bit tedious, especially around the ears and pants. After seeing a groomer recommend this tool on Reddit, I decided to give it a try, and I’m absolutely in love with it! It makes detangling minor mats and knots so much simpler, particularly in those tricky areas.

    At first, I was a bit apprehensive about using it, concerned that I might accidentally hurt my dog’s skin, but it’s straightforward to use as long as you hold it correctly. The long blades work significantly better than any other dematting tools I’ve tried. Safari has consistently impressed me with their products; I adore all my brushes and combs from them. The blade cover is also a thoughtful addition.

    IMPORTANT: THIS COMB IS EXTREMELY SHARP.

    The comb features several prongs and is very comfortable to use on my dog. Please approach gently; this is meant to be a positive introduction to grooming. Many sellers offer products unsuitable for my dog’s coat.

    If you’re reading this, you’ll see that this comb has fantastic reviews. My Malamute is six years old, and he’s my first of this breed. They are significantly larger than Huskies and are built to pull heavy loads. As a working dog, he requires grooming 2-3 times a week, which can take 1-2 hours when using this comb, followed by a slicker brush and undercoat rake. Mals have a double coat, and they shed heavily 3-4 times a year, resulting in three large garbage bags of fur annually.

    It’s essential to invest in the right tools. I made the mistake of thinking all tools were the same, but they truly are not.

    The amount of undercoat and dead fur this tool removes is impressive. It’s sturdy and does not hurt the dog when used correctly. For optimal grooming, you’ll need this comb along with a quality slicker brush and undercoat rake.

    If you have a very hairy dog with a double coat, this is the tool for you. It’s worth every penny and the best I’ve used in over 40 years of grooming my rescue dogs.

    Due to its sharpness, it comes with a well-fitted plastic case that securely covers the blades. If you’re feeling hesitant, don’t be; this is exactly what hairy dogs need. The fur left behind is incredibly soft and free of tangles.

I’ve tried other dematting products but was disappointed with them. This comb, however, is fantastic! It truly works, is of great quality, and comes at a good price. It’s easy to handle too. I just wish I had discovered it sooner! ♥️

    Our doodle has very curly fur that easily mats. Before we got this comb, we had to cut out any mats we found. This comb works wonders on her small mats, and she tolerates it really well. It’s comfortable to hold and feels sturdy. My only suggestion is for a better cover for the head since the tines are quite sharp, and I’m concerned about my toddler getting hurt. We keep it out of reach and watch it closely while brushing our dog (we usually switch between three different brushes), but this one has truly become essential for us. I would definitely recommend it.
